Valentin Koch is a PhD student at Helmholtz Munich, Institute of AI for Health, and TUM Department of Informatics, specializing in deep learning in Cardiovascular Health. He earned his Master’s in Mathematics in Data Science from TUM. Valentin’s research is centered around employing and developing transformers and CNNs for the analysis of cardiovascular diseases, particularly for intravascular OCT and multimodal histopathology. Alongside his academic pursuits, Valentin is interested in entrepreneurship, exploring ways to bridge the gap between innovative research and real-world applications.
